Welcome to my practice - I’m so glad you’re here! If you’re searching for a path toward healing, growth, or simply a deeper understanding of yourself, you’ve taken a brave step in the right direction. My aim is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Together, we can navigate the complexities of life and foster a greater sense of well-being.
With ten years of experience working as a psychotherapist, I specialize in treating complex trauma (C-PTSD), relationship challenges, depression, and anxiety. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), my journey has taken me through various roles, including as Assistant Center Director at the Dekalb Community Service Board and as a Clinician in the Inpatient Behavioral Health Department of Grady Memorial Hospital. I’ve also worked in residential substance abuse recovery and as a community mental health provider. Each of these experiences has enriched my understanding of diverse populations and the myriad issues they face.
My therapeutic approach is holistic and relational, blending humanistic principles with experiential and systemic methods. It’s important to me that you feel comfortable and valued, fostering a collaborative environment where we can explore your unique experiences together. I utilize a variety of evidence-based techniques, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). As a BPC-accredited practitioner of Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT) and APsA-accredited in Psychoanalytic Theory, I bring a depth of knowledge to our work.
What sets my practice apart is my commitment to providing neurodivergent-affirming, highly personalized care. I understand that no two individuals are alike, and I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs. When you work with me, you can expect a therapeutic relationship built on collaboration and authenticity. I prioritize flexibility and warmth, allowing you to express yourself freely. Each session is designed to provide you with insights and practical tools that you can take with you into your daily life. Together, we will focus on both intrapersonal and interpersonal development, recognizing that understanding ourselves is key to building healthy relationships with others. As a writer and speaker on relational health and wellness, I am committed to sharing insights that reflect both my personal and professional experiences in the field.
I invite you to take the next step toward better health by bettering your relationships. If you’re ready to embark on this journey together, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
